How they work

Tiny Teethers

Hazelwood Necklaces for the whole family

Once you decide on the style, simply have your baby wear it as they would any other necklace. Soon you will notice less discomfort and a positive change in your child. The transformation may be in one or two days, even a few hours but obviously varies with each child. To work effectively, your baby should wear it all the time next to his or her skin, even in the bath. Simply remember to remove it at the pool because the chlorine will alter the effectiveness of the wood. That's all there is to it!! Although it looks attractive worn over the clothes, it must be in contact with the skin to work.  Your necklace will last your child 6 to 12 months, depending on your baby's acidity level. The higher the level, the faster the necklace will absorb, ultimately affecting it's life span.

To help skin related problems (diaper rash, dry skin to cracked hands, eczema, psoriasis) there are 2 other products you can try in combination with the necklace to maximize it's benefits;  Hazelwood lotion and Hazelwood Ointment .

Product safety

The clasp used for the11 & 13 inch models has proven to be the safest for babies and children. In the event the necklace gets caught or is under too much tension, one of the loops at the end of the clasp will open (see picture). Since the string of beads is sealed at both ends with a metal clamp before being tied to the clasp, the beaded strand will remain intact and no small pieces would be accessible for children to swallow if the loops were to open. Beads will not fall out because the thread, made of steel covered in nylon, can't break.

The life span of the safety feature is 4 months. Since the necklace is subject to movement, and in contact with water and air, the nylon covered metal thread will suffer from normal wear and tear and lose some resistance.  For this reason, we recommend renewing your necklace regularly to avoid wearing a Hazelwood necklace that has lost its properties and to avoid the breakage of the thread.
